Still, the advice to declare for atheist/agnostic, rather than making a joke of it, holds true.

They are atheistic towards these gods. In effect we are not dissimilar
in our lack of belief, when looked at wholistically.

This also approaches the argument that 'Isn't it better to believe just
in case?', otherwise known as Pascals Wager, to not be what at first to
a believer such a great gamble.

There are literally thousands of gods, even in christianity there are
many ways to salvation.

Not everyone can be right

A bit of fun from reading community posts on forums.

The point may have been somewhat obscured by the names of all those mythical figures, so let’s try this simple run-through…

First, go through the list and check off any of the listed deities you personally believe in, follow, worship and entrust with the care of your Immortal Bits.

Now, look at the ones left over. As an atheist is “a person who does not believe in god/s”, then you are an atheist, as far as belief in these gods goes.

As a matter of fact, when a monotheist (like a jewish, muslim or christian person) is compared to a polytheist, like perhaps a hindu, the monotheist is comparatively more atheist as he/she disbelieves more gods.

On a serious note: If you're down for the FSM or Jedi in the Australian Census, the faith-befuddled god-botherers get to claim you as one of their own, because you become a "believer: other".

Next count, put your gods aside and Just Say "NONE". (Hopefully the Bureau of Stats will allow an "atheist/agnostic" choice next time, so the count can be an accurate representation.)
